Our Fine Art Print or Canvas are printed specifically to order, according to the size specified and the dimensions of the original image.
We use the very latest wide-format digital printing systems to ensure the highest quality artworks. Our printers use six colour ink sets to enable us to get the closest possible colour reproduction. Using 'Piezo' nozzles capable of printing at 1440 dpi helps render even the finest details. This premium print definition is only possible because we use the finest quality Aqueous Pigment inks. These inks are highly developed, designed and made exclusively for us. Despite being water based, when dry over 90% of the pigment will become embedded in the fabric of the paper or canvas, forming a permanent structure. The result is that unlike many ink systems, the colour light fastness easily exceeds six on the Blue Wool Test scale and tests indicate that the longevity of the ink is in the region of eighty years or more.
We print our Fine Art prints onto a very high quality Alpha Cellulose, acid free, mould made, 230 gsm textured artist paper. Our supplier has developed this paper to exacting methods using a small, traditional British mill. The quality of this paper, when combined with our inks, ensures our finished prints are highly durable and reproduce the tones and colours of the original painting as faithfully as possible.
Our mounts are made from chemically treated pulp using high pH sizing that is free from lignin. The thickness of your mount is 1400 microns and the aperture is cut with a clean bevelled edge. All our mount boards are made from sustainable wood sources.
All of our pictures are glazed using high quality acrylic plexiglass. Although considerably more expensive than glass, this Perspex material provides outstanding optical clarity whilst also being durable, lightweight and impact resistant.
Our canvases have been specially designed and developed for Fine Art digital printing.
We have chosen a very fine mesh synthetic material that is ideally suited to the detail required for this type of print. The material is much more stable than a natural fibre, and much finer. Our canvas products are now being used by many major museums for their premium reproductions on canvas.
Our framed prints come with a 2.5mm backing board attached into the frame rebate. All our framed prints are delivered fully strung for immediate hanging.
Our canvases are designed to be hung using the wooden top frame edge.
All our unframed paper prints are rolled in tissue, surrounded by corrugated card and then dispatched in a triangular box for protection during transit. Due to the high quality of our prints we do not dispatch in tubes.
Our canvases are packed in a plastic sleeve, boxed with extra card padding and then surrounded by a cardboard outer sleeve to ensure safe transit.
Finally, all of our framed art comes packed with corner protectors and is then shrink-wrapped. Additional extra card padding is incorporated where necessary and the item is then boxed for dispatch.
